Epson is set to introduce three new inkjet printheads tailored for the expanding digital printing market in the commercial and industrial sectors. With a surge in demand for digital printing in these domains, Epson’s latest offerings feature enhanced UV ink compatibility and leverage the PrecisionCore technology, ensuring top-notch print quality and increased productivity.
The new S3200-U1-2 and S3200-U3-2 models retain the ejection performance of their predecessors but come with structural enhancements that broaden their UV ink compatibility, bolster reliability, durability, and maintain print quality over prolonged usage. This advancement allows for a wider range of applications in commercial and industrial printing. Existing printer manufacturers can seamlessly upgrade their machines by substituting the older models with these new heads, retaining the same ejection performance.
In addition to the S3200 series, Epson is launching the D3000-U1R printhead, designed to support UV ink for commercial and label printing. Offering up to 1200-dpi resolution for intricate detailing, this model incorporates an ink recirculation mechanism near the nozzles to ensure uniform ink temperature, preventing nozzle ink drying and sedimentation. The D3000-U1R also caters to various inks, including quick-drying variants, reducing maintenance needs such as head cleaning and enabling manufacturers to expand their printer range effortlessly.
Epson’s pursuit of innovation extends to strengthening the PrecisionCore printhead series, aiming to meet diverse industry needs and propel digital printing advancements in commercial and industrial sectors. The company’s commitment to advancing printing technology underscores its dedication to facilitating market growth and enhancing print quality across various applications.
The S3200-U1-2 and S3200-U3-2 models offer a print width of 120.2 mm, delivering high image quality at 600 dpi for one color, coupled with improved reliability and durability. On the other hand, the D3000-U1R boasts exceptional image quality at 1200 dpi for one color, supported by ink recirculation near the nozzles, ensuring stable printing. Its diagonal external shape allows for scalable arrangement without expanding the head row.
The new products are slated for release in August 2025 (S3200 series) and around autumn 2025 (D3000-U1R), further expanding Epson’s PrecisionCore lineup to cater to evolving market demands. By continually innovating and enhancing print technology, Epson aims to contribute significantly to the digital printing landscape in commercial and industrial sectors.
Epson’s ethos of efficient, compact, and precise innovation drives its mission to address societal challenges through advancements in various sectors like home and office printing, manufacturing, and visual technology. The company’s vision encompasses becoming carbon negative and eliminating the use of exhaustible resources by 2050, reflecting its commitment to sustainability and technological progress.
As a global technology leader, Epson’s annual sales surpass JPY 1 trillion, with a focus on creating a positive impact through cutting-edge innovations. The company’s dedication to excellence and sustainability underscores its position as a trailblazer in the technology industry, driving progress and shaping a better future for all.
